Who We Are
KASIHA ("we", "us") is operated by an individual sole trader based in Tampere, Finland. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at kasihandcraft@proton.me for any privacy-related questions.
What Information We Collect
We collect the personal data you provide directly to us: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address when you place an order; your name and email when you sign up for our newsletter; your name, email, and message when you contact us; and your name, email, category, description, reference image, and budget when you submit a custom order request. If you leave a product review, we store your name, rating, and comment.
Why We Use Your Information
We use your information to fulfil and ship your orders, respond to your messages and custom order requests, send you the newsletter you signed up for, and improve our products and service. We process order and contact information because it is necessary to fulfil our contract with you or to respond to your enquiry; we send newsletters only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who We Share It With
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and file-storage provider (hosted in the EU). Order confirmation emails are sent through Resend, our email delivery provider. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How Long We Keep It
Order records are kept for as long as required by Finnish accounting law (typically up to 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year). Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact and custom order messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to you, and are deleted when no longer needed.
Your Rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at kasihandcraft@proton.me. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto), Finland's supervisory authority for data protection.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use only the technical storage necessary for the site to function: a session cookie for our admin login, and your browser's local storage to remember the contents of your shopping cart between visits.
